| As a wax, it comes as white flakes and is usually made up of two components, a fatty alcohol and a fatty acid. Naturally derived, it will emulsify water and oil together to make a lotion or cream. Its melted in the oil phase and makes up anywhere from 1%-4% of a formula. Higher concentrations can make the product “tacky” or drag on the skin. This usually needs other co-emulsifiers to hold the product. | |||
