From behind, slide the tubes onto the holes. The mold is made to go only to the collar of the tube, making every tube flush with the face of the mold.
Pouring Into Tubes
The lip balm tubes act as a stand for the mold when flipped over. Pour your prepared lip balm into the mold at 60c/150F. Overfill each to cover the surface.
Setting Time
Once lip balm is poured, the product will slowly cool. The mold will not allow product to leak down the sides, for a clean, professional look when finished.
Removing Excess
This step happens before the lip balm hardens. Use some type of scraper and scoop the excess off into a container. Heat this left over product again as you go.
Finishing Pass
As the lip balm has not set yet, eliminate fine lines and marks with a heat gun. You can remove and cap almost immediately after. Start the process again.
Results
Once a few attempts are made, one person can quickly pour hundreds per hour. Molds do not have to be cleaned each time... just have clean hands. Easily produce thousands from just one mold.
