1% Hyaluronic Acid Solution (HMW)

High Molecular Weight (HMW) Hyaluronic Acid is a powerful skin-hydrating ingredient known for its exceptional water-binding and moisture-retention properties, helping to visibly plump, smooth, and support skin elasticity. Naturally found in the body—especially in joints and connective tissues—levels of hyaluronic acid decrease with age, making topical application beneficial for maintaining hydration and skin comfort. Produced through bacterial fermentation from the salt of hyaluron, this cosmetic-grade ingredient forms a protective moisture layer on the skin, helping shield it from environmental stressors. Widely used in moisturizing, hydrating, and anti-aging skincare formulations, it can be applied on its own or added to formulations to enhance performance and product claims.

Our body produces hyaluronic acid, particularly in joints and ligaments. This is in abundance when the body is young, but as the body ages, the body produces less over time.

The High Molecular Weight (HMW) Hyaluronic acid is derived from the salt of Hyaloron and commonly produced by a bacterial fermentation. 

Hyaluronic acid has excellent water retaining properties, offering a plumping effect on the skin, protection from the environment and adds elasticity. It is commonly seen in moisturizing and anti-aging products.
