AHA Fruit Acid Complex

AXI Fruit Acid AHA Complex is a concentrated blend of five botanical extracts: bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, lemon, and orange. These extracts contain several naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids. These citrus based Alpha Hydroxy Acids typically work by removing the older top layer of skin (like a peel). The astringent effect reduces pore size which promotes younger smoother looking skin, while increasing the rate of cell renewal.

The pH of this product is 4-5% and usage level can be from 5-15%. However, AHA’s do increase the chance of sunburn and recommend use at a lower level initially because of sun sensitivity. Consumers need to be informed of this potential and somewhere this has to be relayed about UV light and exposure.
