Cetyl Alcohol is a versatile co-emulsifier widely used in skincare and haircare formulations to improve texture and stability. Despite its name, it is not a drying alcohol but a waxy, fatty substance derived from distilled fats. At low usage levels (0.25%–1%), it enhances emulsion stability, softens formulations, and improves spreadability without contributing to thickness on its own. Ideal for lotions, creams, conditioners, and hair masks, Cetyl Alcohol reduces greasiness while delivering a smooth, velvety feel. For best performance, it should be combined with emulsifying waxes or stearates such as stearic acid. This ingredient comes as white wax-like flakes, insoluble in water but soluble in oils, and is added to the oil phase during formulation. A staple in both rinse-off and leave-on products, Cetyl Alcohol offers formulators an effective way to refine product performance and sensory appeal.

Our Beeswax comes in pellet form, easy to use and free of foreign material. Ideal for candles, it is cost-effective when blended with soy wax. In lip balms, it has no taste and provides excellent binding with oils. In lotions, it can create a tacky feel, so use at low levels (1–2%).

Stearic Acid (Palm Stearate)Stearic Acid is a plant-derived fatty acid commonly used in cosmetic formulations as a co-emulsifier. This version is sourced from palm stearate and root vegetables, offering a sustainable alternative to animal-based stearic acid. In creams and lotions, it helps stabilize emulsions, improve texture, and enhance spreadability. While not an effective thickener on its own, Stearic Acid works synergistically with emulsifying waxes or fatty alcohols, such as Cetyl Alcohol, to create smooth, stable products with a refined skin feel. A waxy, white substance, it is insoluble in water but soluble in oils and is typically melted into the oil phase during formulation. Soy Wax – 5Lbs
Soy Wax comes in shredded form and is versatile for lip balms, candles, soaps, and cosmetics. Derived from soybeans, it melts easily and is all-natural. It produces minimal smoke in candles with little shrinkage. In lip balms, it has no taste and maintains viscosity across temperatures. In soaps, it can be melted with our soap bases for new formulations. In cosmetics, it can replace the tacky feel of beeswax for a smoother texture.
