Body Massage / Styling Gel

A non-greasy, soothing, unscented body gel is versatile for massage or as an all-purpose gel. You can add menthol for a heat rub, essential oils for a calming effect, or colored glitter for a fun kids’ version. It can also function as a hair gel with good hold but no styling ability.

When adding essential or fragrance oils, they must be solubilized first to prevent cloudiness (refer to Surfactants for details). Typically, mix 3-5 parts solubilizer with 1 part fragrance and stir it into the gel. Heating can help restore clarity if the gel looks milky.
