Solid Lotion / Perfume Base
About the Product
Create a lotion in a solid bar form. This can be used for the whole body; or specifically dry rough areas like elbows, knees, heals , and feet. Highly popular for its moisturizing properties and no spill advantages. Containing highly-emollient natural ingredients like shea butter, hemp oil, grape seed oil, and jojoba oil. The soy wax and beeswax offer easy to melt and pour properties. Make it colored or plain, then simply add fragrance and mold. Solid perfumes are slightly softer. By using the same base, add an additional 10% oil and include 5% (or more) fragrance or essential oil.

How to Use
This comes in a sold form with nearly the hardness of a soap. This Solid Lotion/Solid Cologne can take upwards of 13% Fragrance or Essential Oils. If you choose to go with less scent, you can add other carrier oils, like olive, grapeseed, apricot, almond, etc. in order to achieve your desired texture. Some individuals like to have it more firm than others.
Do testing before batching a larger amount.
Like a lip balm or a melt & pour soap, you can use a double boiler or place it in a microwave. In a double boiler (or a pot inside a pot), weigh the base out, then heat the water on medium and when boiling, turn it down to avoid over cooking the product. Have a thermometer available and melt to 65C/ 149F, slowly add scent, EO's or oils, stir: then pour into your preferred container. When using a microwave, weigh the amount you want to melt, then place this portion of the solid lotion into a microwavable container (preferrably a glass pitcher). Heat product in stages and monitor closely. Have a thermometer available, as you do not want it to boil. When at 65C /149F, add fragrances and/or carrier oils, then stir and pour.
